Overview
Our success is dependent on the project’s success. We want projects to succeed! Our reputation depends on it!
In our experience, unsuccessful projects are seldomly attributed to “technical” challenges. Most projects struggle due to lack of communication, misunderstandings, poor definition of roles and responsibilities, too much work for individuals, and overly optimistic goals or targets related to cost and schedule.
It doesn’t matter what industry you look at; the cost of doing projects has skyrocketed over the past decade. Across the board, project costs have gone up – employee wages/salaries, engineering rates, construction labour costs, and construction material costs.
Owners often have employees that are required to manage projects that are 10-100x the value of the projects that they were responsible for only a few years ago. Due to the cyclical nature of projects, most owners are not able to adequately staff their projects. This often leaves their employees with insufficient time and resources.
Engineering firms are filled with talented individuals that focus on providing quality engineering deliverables.
Construction Contractors have a wealth of knowledge and experience in knowing what it takes to show up on site and do the construction.
Owners want to have a successful project, engineering firms want to provide an excellent design that meets the design criteria, and construction contractors want to build a quality product. So why are problems so common? We feel that many of these problems can be solved by simply having adequate resources working and focused on a common goal – getting the project done. Quite often, by adding one or two individuals to assist the project team, it is so much easier to stay on top of the important issues.
Every client and project has unique needs and it is not possible to be an expert in everything. Depending on the client needs, the project, and our available personnel, we work with our clients to provide a dedicated focus, delivering a successful project.
